CSCD: Vietnam Mobile Police

Update 1 Information

In June 2025, the CSCD demo version was released. Its participation in Steam Next Fest brought the game's first experiences to gamers worldwide. We've gathered extensive feedback from players globally. Some comments frankly pointed out the demo's weaknesses, yet they also expressed strong confidence in the project's future.

Recognizing this as a positive sign, the development team diligently continued improving the demo, incorporating important features. Six months later, we are now ready to release "Update1," our first major update. This article will provide an overview of what's in "Update1" compared to the previous demo. Let's find out!

Please visit our Getting Started guide to learn how to play the game. Don't forget to add the game to your Steam Wishlist and check out our Patreon! ;)

1. Crash fix and performance improvement

We have addressed several stability issues that could lead to random crashes during gameplay related to AI, physic, character control, weapon handling , resulting in a more reliable experience overall. In addition, various performance optimizations have been applied to reduce stuttering and improve frame pacing, especially in intense combat situations.

2. Overhauled Command System

The current command system has received feedback for being difficult to remember and control. That is why we have completely overhauled the control scheme. The system is now divided into 3 distinct command modes

  • Quick-Command Mode: Uses the player’s line of sight to issue fast orders such as Move, Observe, and Provide Support.
  • Direct-Control Mode: Allows direct control of an individual squad member for precise positioning and scouting.
  • Rear-Support Mode: The player moves closely behind an ally to maintain tight formation, enabling synchronized movement and concentrated fire.

3. AI improvement

  • A new heat map–based system significantly improves enemy movement and decision-making. Enemy squads now hide, set ambushes, and flank more frequently.
  • AI weapon handling has also been improved. Enemies can dynamically switch between primary weapons and sidearms when appropriate. As the saying goes: “Switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading.” – Gaz
  • The CSCD AI has been upgraded as well. Teammates can now detect and report enemies through the command system, allowing you to receive and confirm kill requests based on their reports.

4. CSCD voice packs

Your teammates are too quiet, you think? Not anymore. We've added a pack of radio voice lines for CSCD. This feature complements the new command system perfectly, enhancing the experience for both the commander issuing orders and the squad members receiving them. It creates a more immersive and responsive feeling when interacting with your team.

Voice acting is delivered in native Vietnamese, with an optional English version spoken with a Vietnamese accent. We intentionally avoided American-style voiceovers to preserve cultural authenticity. Options > Sound to select voice packs.

5. Khuong Binh Street upgrade

Many unique props, vehicles, and vegetation have been added to the map, making the environment richer and more authentic to modern Vietnam. Some of these additions provide storytelling elements, while others directly affect map traversal and squad repositioning tactics. These changes also help achieve a better balance between close-quarters and mid-range combat across the operation area, creating a more deliberate mix of engagement ranges in combat area design.

6. Other improvements

  • Fine-tuned bullet behavior for gravity, wind direction, penetration, and ricochet.
  • Optimized the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) rendering system to deliver a more realistic optical scope view. Improved eye relief, zoom accuracy, and color representation.
  • Added new graphics options, including: Reflection, Water Quality, Motion Blur, Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA), Body Cam Effect, and enhanced Texture Quality.
  • Added an option to toggle match brief and warning radio messages from the command center.
  • Simplified tutorial with direct links to reference pages.
  • New Arm Stamina system affecting gun handling
  • Enhanced gun recoil for a more responsive and immersive combat experience.
  • Added the SPAS-12 shotgun, SVD sniper rifle, and SKS-45 rifle. (Note: Reload mechanics for the SKS-45's bullet clip are still in progress; reloading this weapon may cause unexpected behavior)
  • Added lens glare/flare effect when looking directly at tactical flashlight or laser beam.

  • New Auto Pick quickly assembles and equips teams by operator role. A huge time-saver for new players or the demo, though it doesn't guarantee perfection.
  • Terms of Service (TOS) screen has been implemented, appearing only on a player's initial game launch. The TOS is not lengthy, allowing players to easily read and grasp its content.

  • There are also numerous other enhancements we couldn't possibly list.

While we've seen positive feedback on its performance, Update1 still retains some issues from the initial public demo and has many features that are not yet complete. To effectively manage our resources and time, we prioritized the most crucial game changes, reserving smaller adjustments for upcoming updates.

As we continue to build and refine this unique gaming experience inspired by Vietnamese culture, we're excited to announce even more features on the horizon. Your thoughts and ideas are invaluable to us, so please share your feedback. Our dedicated team is committed to exploring and integrating community suggestions wherever possible.
